Guests:

We welcome spectators and chess players alike to drop by and play in casual or serious rated games. There is no fee to come and watch, in order to compete you will need a United States Chess Federation Membership purchased here. Please bring a tournament chess set and clock with you for tournaments. Please note that on tournament dates there is no casual play. We suggest players who want a casual experience attend when we are not having a tournament. Also, note that we ask that guests make a purchase from Habit Burger as they allow us to have our weekly meetings in their restaurant. We sincerely hope to meet you soon!

USCF Tournaments at Habit:

We host USCF rated tournament games on the last Tuesday of the month. All tournament information and links to register can be found on our tournament page.

Players are required to be current US Chess members and to bring their own chess set and clock. Be prepared to clean up after yourself and exit by 9:00pm to be courteous to our host.

As we receive many emails about our tournaments please keep in mind this is an adult chess club first and foremost. Scholastic players are welcome but need to be very experienced tournament players (typically USCF 900+) to compete in our monthly tournaments.

Due to the popularity of our events and space limitations, we have a cut off of 20 players. Guarantee your spot by registering early on chessregister.com.

Florida Chess Club Information:

We are the premier South Florida Chess club offering in person and online options for our members. We have a strength range of players from beginner to master. For a list of our tournament rated players who have competed with us click here.
